Annie Nielsen was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and quickly realized she wanted to go in to nursing. She decided on a whim to move across the country to Nashville where received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Belmont University and began her first nursing position at Monroe Carell Jr Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, working in Pediatric medicine and hematology/oncology. She thrived in the environment of helping others and wanted to continue to broaden her horizons in the nursing field to be able to assist a greater population. Annie returned to Belmont University and obtained a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is now a board-certified member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Annie is a dedicated and skilled member of the Thrive Wellness Group team and is eager to improve the lives of her patients.
